RCS 2.0 receives the German TASPO Award 2025 for the ‘Best B2B Product Idea’
Game changer in young plant production: RCS 2.0 receives the German TASPO Award 2025 for the ‘Best B2B Product Idea’. The pioneering system for the sustainable and efficient production of rooted cuttings was first presented to the public at IPM 2025 and has now also impressed the expert jury of the TASPO Awards with its resource-saving approach.
The TASPO Awards are an annual award ceremony organized by TASPO, a leading German trade magazine for the horticultural industry. They recognize outstanding achievements in the gardening, landscaping, and horticulture sectors, including areas such as innovation, sustainability, marketing, product development, customer service, and management.
In the RCS 2.0 system, young plants are rooted without substrate in special biodegradable cellulose sleeves – a revolutionary, patented process that combines ecological advantages with efficiency gains in logistics: thanks to its compact shape and beneficial volume-to-weight ratio, RCS 2.0 significantly reduces transport costs and packaging material.
With this win, we have once again underlined our leading role in the horticultural industry. We have already scored three times at the TASPO Awards: twice in the ‘Breeder of the Year’ category and once in the ‘Best Offer for the Next Generation’ category.
Per Klemm, CEO of Selecta one, commented at the award ceremony on 24 October 2025 in Berlin: ‘This award sends a strong signal: our industry can and must change, and we are actively shaping this change. RCS 2.0 represents what Selecta one stands for: innovative strength, team spirit and responsibility.’
With RCS 2.0, we are setting new standards in young plant production and once again establishing ourself as a driver of innovation in the international ornamental plant industry – and beyond – demonstrating that real progress is achieved when innovation, sustainability and entrepreneurial spirit come together.
