Selecta one receives German Horticulture Innovation Award 2025 for RCS 2.0
Selecta one has been awarded the German Horticulture Innovation Prize 2025 by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Regional Identity. The jury honoured us in the category Plant for the development of RCS 2.0, a pioneering system for the sustainable and efficient production of rooted cuttings.
‘With RCS 2.0, we offer our customers a product that combines environmentally friendly, resource-saving and efficient solutions. The award confirms our commitment to actively shaping horticulture with future-oriented concepts.’, said Per Klemm at the award ceremony in Berlin on September 12, 2025.
With the German Horticulture Innovation Award, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Regional Identity annually honours companies whose innovations strengthen the competitiveness of German horticulture while promoting environmental and climate protection and social responsibility. In the jury's view, the new propagation system has the potential to significantly increase efficiency in the value chain and contribute to an improved carbon footprint.
RCS 2.0 offers a unique combination of substrate-free rooting in biodegradable paper bags and compact size and is aimed at producers worldwide who are looking for sustainable and efficient solutions. The carbon footprint of cutting production is significantly reduced through reduced material consumption, optimised logistics and an energy-efficient production process.
